“absorbing, richly textured and emotionally stirring”
I’m honored to be the recipient of a 2019 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. The resulting work, “The Lingering Light of Day” received a wonderful premiere by the Borealis Chorale, William Beckstrand conductor, at concerts in Grand Marais, MN, on December 8 and 9, 2019. The three-movement piece, which features original poetry by Julia Klatt Singer, is scored for flute, oboe, cello, piano, three vocal soloists and SATB chorus.
MorningStar Music just published my arrangement of “Carol of the Birds” (SSA, handbells), with “Hark! I Hear” (SSAA unaccompanied to follow in Spring, 2020. And “Refuge” (SATB unaccompanied) is now available from Galaxy Music Corpooration.
